Diet Success Tips To Get Unstuck

We all get stuck sometimes when trying to achieve our diet and weight loss goals and I think that is why it is so important to have your diet, health and fitness goals in writing so you can refer back to them when you get stuck or discouraged.

I've been working on my diet, or shall I say lifestyle change for about 7 months now. So far I've lost 20 pounds but now I seem to be stuck, my progress has come to a complete halt.

Fortunately for me I'm maintaining and not gaining but I'm starting to get frustrated by the fact that I am unable to break through the lower limit of my weight loss goal.

Write Down Your Diet Goals

Luckily for me, I wrote down some thoughts about diet and weight loss in one of my recent articles and I can now refer back to that article and see if I can break through this barrier that seems to be holding me back.

In my recent article 5 Diet Health And Fitness Questions I took a close look at some of the reasons for my overeating and I asked myself five very important questions that needed to be answered if I were to successfully achieve my weight loss goal.

When Do You Overeat?

One of the questions that I asked myself was when do you overeat?

  • Morning
  • Noon
  • Afternoon
  • Week Days
  • Week-ends
  • Late Nights
When I looked at my eating habits I found that I tend to overeat in the afternoons and that seems to coincide with the times when my stress level is at  its highest and yes, you guessed it, that's when I am at work.

Once I identified this trend I had to figure out how to stop the bleeding and slow it down. So after brainstorming possible solutions, I decided to send myself reminders on my iPhone at these peak activity levels to try to cut back on my overeating. It's not a perfect solution but it's a start and that's what is important!

Change Your Diet Habits

We are by nature, creatures of habit and fortunately good, new habits can be formed and old, bad habits can be broken. It's important to identify your weaknesses and put a plan in place to overcome them. And if the plans fails, don't worry and stress out about it, simply come up with a new plan.

Successful people are good at asking questions, not just any questions, but the right questions. Sometimes the hardest questions to ask are those that you have to ask yourself.

If you are willing to ask yourself the tough questions about your eating habits and make a plan to address the issues that arise from those questions then you are more likely to achieve success with your diet and weight loss goals.

People Are Losing Weight

Every day read stories on the internet about people who have overcome tremendous odds to lose weight and change their lives. I figure if they can do it then so can you and I. You see, it's all about your perspective. You have to want it, I mean really want it and be willing to sacrifice to get it.

So what do you say, join me in my quest to lose weight and together we can beat the odds. Let's lose weight now, it's time!

3 Reasons Your Business Should Promote Employee Wellness

Is your business looking for ways to improve employee engagement and promote health and wellness in the workplace? There are three main benefits to promoting health and fitness in the workplace. A good workplace health, fitness and wellness program: 1. Encourages Teambuilding 2. Improves Employee Health 3. Increases Employee Engagement Several years ago while working as a Human Resources Manager in a large manufacturing company, I became interested in improving employee relations and encouraging our employees to lead healthier lifestyles. After researching and reviewing several weight loss programs, I decided to market and promote the "Six-Pack" weight loss program. The concept was simple.  Employees who wanted to participate formed teams consisting of six members and they created names for their teams like "Fat Boy Slim", "Two Tons of Fun" and many other creative and descriptive titles. The competition lasted for three month...
